Is the Lord’s Presence in your church service?
This is one of the most alarming and false questions in most of Christendom and in much of Chuch life. I’ve seen it destroy churches, bring tremendous division, and promote great self righteousness. I’ve also seen it attack the very essence of what people are arguing about. Is the Lord’s presence in your church service?
Well, first as a great friend of mine would say only the One being worshipped has the right to say whether the worship is good or not. He knows much of the heart and attitude and I believe the Lord is much more gracious and kind in this regards than we could imagine. He sees the sacrifice of the worship teams and honors it rather than degrades it with malicious and unnecessary words. But do you also know the Scripture is incredibly clear on this subject?
Matthew 18:20 tells us that where two or three are gathered together that Jesus is there in the midst of them. That’s powerful and something to consider the next time someone says, “I didnt feel His Presence.” Pointedly and Scriptually – too bad – He is there! Let’s focus on the Harvest and bringing people to Jesus rather than the devils lies. It’s time to bring the Kingdom!
